When you begin
tanning, it will take 3-4 visits before you start to see results.
Tanning is a process and is something your skin will gradually develop.
-
You will want
to tan 3-4 times per week to build your tan.
-
You can
maintain your tan with 2-3 visits per week.
-
Tan Time highly
recommends using a professional tanning lotion just prior to your tanning
session. Using a lotion will give you a faster tan, better tanning
results and keep your tan longer. Tanning results are 60% higher when
used in combination of a lotion.
-
Tan Time
recommends you do not shower for a few hours after your tanning session to
allow your tan time to set in.
-
Tan Time also
recommends using shower gels instead of bar soaps as the pH balance in a bar
soap is too harsh and will strip away your beautiful tan!
-
We recommend
using a tan extender after your tanning session and/or after your shower.
This allows your tan to be preserved as much as your skin will allow without
flaking off from dry, unhealthy skin. Store bought lotions are not
designed for tanned skin and therefore will inhibit your tanning session due
to the oils in the ingredients.
-
If you notice
that you hit a tanning plateau, we recommend switching to a different bed
level and trying a new lotion. Both of these combined will allow you
to achieve the darkest tan possible.
-
If you need to
get rid of those pressure points (white spots) on your shoulder blades, we
suggest moving around a bit during your tanning session. We also
suggest using our
Tan Towels, which are a self-tanning
towelette that gets rid of those spots.

Want longer
lasting color in your face? Try a sample of our Australian Gold Facial
Crème. It contains a light bronzer and accelerants to assist in the melanin
production. Our faces are made up of a thinner layer of skin so it does not
contain as much melanocytes which is responsible for the browning of the
skin. With this, we need a specially formulated product to assist in the
proper production and with the bronzing agents keeping it longer. Our faces
are usually washed much more often than the rest of our bodies, therefore,
causing our tan to fade quicker. Try a sample on your next visit!
